In June, Superbook had a wonderful opportunity to be apart of a community fair in Norfolk, Virginia. There were activities for children and families, and the Superbook team were there, showing the episodes “Roar!” and “A Giant Adventure.” Marissa, a CBN employee with a passion for children’s ministry, said:
“I can’t count the number of children that we received. They loved colouring and enjoying the Superbook DVDs. There were 10 that I know throughout the day who received Christ. They sat for the whole movie. They answered the questions and we led them in the prayer.”
Brittany, who helped at the Superbook tent with her daughter, said:
“Thank you for giving us the opportunity to volunteer in the community. My 6-year-old daughter and I were very blessed by this event. … I spoke with a grandmother who was so pleased to have this event in her neighbourhood. The activities during the day really brought joy and happiness to many little children and parents. Thank you again!”
The fair’s impact on the community is ongoing. One Superbook team member, who helped organise the event reported that vocational training, a free eight-week faith-based summer camp, and a nutritional feeding program are all in progress as a follow-up to the fair. She went on to report,
“We heard over and over how people enjoyed being together and having fun as a community. … It was an exciting day
